Help Me Dig At Shiloh

Dear Readers,

Let me begin by thanking you for visiting my website, Bible Archaeology Report. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d have over 1 million views of my articles.

This is something I’ve never done before, but I’m writing to ask you for your help.

As you may know, in addition to being a full-time pastor, I’m also completing a Masters degree in Archaeology and Biblical History from Trinity Southwest University. As part of my course requirements, I must do four weeks of excavation.

From May 21 – June 2, 2022, my wife and I are planning to volunteer with the excavations at Shiloh, Israel led by the the Associates for Biblical Research (DigShiloh.org). We’re raising money to help cover the cost of this expedition (including $2100 USD/$2800 CAD each for accommodations, transportation and meals in-country, and $2000 CAD each for airfare).

Obviously, on a pastor’s salary, these costs are a stretch. However, we’re trusting the Lord to provide through people like you.

Would you consider giving to help make this trip a reality? You can do so through our GiveSendGo fundraiser: https://www.givesendgo.com/G9H9E

Please note that any money given will be need to be a considered gift and not a donation; we are not able to provide tax-deductible receipts for these gifts.

Here’s a 20-minute video that gives a good overview of ABR’s excavations at Shiloh, the discovery last year of the city gate and a gold star, and the potential discovery of the platform that housed the tabernacle (which ABR hopes to confirm this season):

Thank you for continuing to read my blogs and for considering a gift towards our trip to dig at Shiloh, Israel in 2023.

Grace & Truth,

Bryan
